Set yourself up for success in 2019!

Why oh Why?

So, why do we put the often unnecessary everyday ‘to do’ list before the tasks that will help propel us towards our more meaningful dreams and desires?

You may want to lose weight, go for a promotion, get a volunteer job, adopt a dog, make more money, get some work life balance, start a business, take a long holiday, learn to sing, dance or speak a language. Whatever the desire, however big or small there are reasons why some people succeed, and others don’t.

How do successful people get the results they want?  They give their mind clear, concise, concrete instructions.  Wishy washy won’t do!

Clear Vision

Not that you necessarily want to be Steve Jobs, but do you think he imagined himself working out of his garage for the rest of his life? No, he had a very clear vision of where he was going.  Those of us who are old enough, know how vocal Mohamed Ali was about his dreams and goals. Now we don’t have to shout it from the rooftops, but we do have to make it VERY clear to our own mind what results we are expecting.

Why? Because if you don’t, your mind will find every which way to convince you that your important and meaningful dream is not worth pursuing.

First things First!

So, first thing’s first.  Let’s get very clear exactly what these dreams and goals are!

To help clear the path towards your success I’ve made you a short visualisation meditation that will help you uncover what it is that’s important to you. Aside from the everyday jobs that you do, what unrealised dreams and desires do you have that need to be bought into the light?

The Yogis call this Sankalpa or ‘way of being from the heart.’ It’s a process of visualising your desires and intentions with clarity and conciseness, and an ancient tradition that science is now verifying as a powerful way to use the mind.

Enjoy this first step towards unravelling what’s important to you and remembering those inspired ideas that you’ve put on the back burner.

In the coming weeks I’ll give you the next steps in setting and achieving your important goals and dreams.
